Sunday Morning Breakfast + Free Recipe Printable

Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week. I love waking up to the sun and not an alarm and creating a cute and yummy breakfast. Here is one of our go-to Sunday breakfasts! Recipe will be included below!

Mini Waffle Maker

First I want to talk about this cute little waffle maker I got at Walmart. I will link it here! It's only about $9 and it works super well. You can also find cute little ones for the different holidays at Target that has different shapes on them. Here is a whole bunch of them from Target that are super cute!

Waffle Maker Maintenance

First I ALWAYS spray my waffle maker with some cooking spray. Really only once does the trick and helps so your waffles don't stick to the maker. My grandma taught me to always just take a paper towel and wipe it down instead of using a wet rag or soap and water. This keeps it greased and in good condition for years to come.

Amount of Mix

I had to really learn how much mix to add to the waffle maker. I would say that this is the perfect amount so that it doesn't overflow. If you add too much it creates such a mess to clean up afterward! This amount keeps the waffles just the right size and thickness without making an overflowing mess.

Presentation

Breakfast is always more enjoyable when we have a cute place setting and put more thought into the presentation. We found this plate at a yard sale last Summer and it is one of our favorite dishes to eat off of. It makes Sunday breakfast that much more special.

Breakfast is Served!

We top our waffles with butter and syrup. If strawberries were in season I would definitely be adding some strawberries and whip cream to the top. Yum! This is one of our favorite Waffle/Pancake Recipes. I will have the full recipe below!

Extra Waffles?

We always have extra waffles after we are done. Of course, we are not going to throw them away. I like to put them in a ziplock baggie and put them in the freezer. That way during the busy week we can pop them in the toaster or the microwave and have a yummy breakfast!
